Kent Senior Trophy action took centre stage for Southern Counties East teams on Saturday.

Premier Division leaders VCD made no mistake at Division 1 Croydon, winning 4-0 with all the goals coming in the first 39 minutes. Richard Jimoh scored a hat-trick with Zak Bryon adding a penalty after Connor Kelly was fouled.

Faversham led three times at home to Rusthall but were pegged back on each occasion as the teams drew 3-3. Town then won the penalty shoot-out 4-2 to progress.

Daniel Thompson, Nathan Wood and Johan Caney-Bryan scored for Faversham, Charlie Clover (2) and Yassin Fares replied for Rusthall.

A late winner by Tyron Mbuenimo saw Fisher win 2-1 at home to Corinthian. The hosts had led at the break through Halim Bakre before Khayrie Harris equalised for Corinthian.

Two goals in the first four minutes of the second half proved decisive as Tunbridge Wells won 3-1 at home to Erith & Belvedere.

Regan Corke put Wells ahead after just two minutes but Dan Parkinson’s penalty made it 1-1 at the break. Festos Kamara put the hosts ahead on 46 minutes before Regan Corke added a third goal.

Hollands & Blair needed penalties to progress in new manager Clint Gooding’s first game. Blair drew 0-0 with Holmesdale before going through 4-3 in the shoot-out.

An Alex Willis brace plus late goals from substitutes Tom Carter and Marshall Wratten saw Division 1 Faversham Strike Force win 4-1 at Greenways, who replied through Levi Gold.

Premier Division Glebe made no mistake at home to Lewisham, winning 4-1. Kelvin Bakare scored twice with Fred Obasa and substitute Reggie Rye also on target.

An own goal plus Michael Hagan proved the difference as Bearsted progressed at the expense of Kennington.

Nathan Jeche scored twice in the first half on his debut for Snodland, helping his side defeat SC Thamesmead 2-1, who had led through Steve Karkari.

Luke Adams’ eighth goal of the season put Staplehurst on track to a 3-0 victory at home to Rochester. Dan Ashton and Omar Elmantawy completed the tally.

Goalkeeper Hugo Webb’s penalty save proved crucial as Stansfeld won 2-1 at Forest Hill.

Greg Williams’ first goal for Stansfeld plus Dario Sesay-De Luca did the damage after Ainsley Everett had put Forest Hill ahead.

Larkfield & New Hythe let slip a three-goal lead at home to West Wickham before going through 4-3 thanks to Bryan Zepo’s winner while Sutton Athletic won 4-0 at Welling Town.

On Friday night, Whitstable won 1-0 at Canterbury with the only goal coming through Dean Grant as early as the third minute.
