Police say at around 2.10am on Wednesday, September 11, they received a report of concern for a man who possibly entered the river at Bothwell Road in Hamilton, reports STV News.
Cops then raced to the area, however, the man has not yet been traced by 999 crews.

Following that, the force has revealed searches are ongoing.
Now, police are appealing for anyone who witnessed anything to come forward.
HM Coastguard also said they were called to the incident.
The service sent a rescue helicopter to the scene.

Inspector Mark Chivers said: “Around 2.10am on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, we received a report of concern for a man possibly entering the River Clyde at Bothwell Road, Hamilton.
“Officers attended and there was no trace in the area.
“Further searches are ongoing and at this time we ask anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed anything to come forward.
“We would also be keen to hear from any motorists who may have been driving past around that time and have dashcam footage from the area.”
An HM Coastguard spokesperson added: “At around 2.45am this morning (Wednesday, September 11), HM Coastguard assisted Police Scotland with an incident at Bothwell in Glasgow.
“The HM Coastguard Rescue Helicopter was called, alongside the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.”
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has been contacted for comment.
