Emergency services responded to a call at Dalewood Gardens, Crawley, around 4 pm on Saturday regarding a man who had been stabbed. The victim received treatment at the scene before being transported to the hospital with serious injuries. He remains in stable condition.
Two individuals were arrested shortly after the incident. Steven Finn, 45, of North Road, Crawley, and Rebecca Smith, 45, of Dalewood Gardens, Crawley, have both been charged with attempted murder. They are currently in custody and will appear before Lewes Crown Court on July 22.
Detective Chief Inspector Colin Garman commented, “This was an extremely serious incident that required a robust emergency response. I would like to thank the community for their patience during our investigation over the weekend. We are still appealing for anyone with information or relevant footage to report to police online or via 101, quoting Operation Wildwood.”
