The incident happened on Monday at around 6.25pm at the junction of the A267 and A272 near Cross In Hand, near Heathfield, and involved a black Ford Ranger and a blue Yamaha motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Sussex Police said no one else was hurt in the two-vehicle crash.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “It is believed there were multiple witnesses to the collision, including the driver of a white transit style van, and we urge anyone who saw what happened, or has footage that could assist the investigation to come forward.
