Woman attacked by dog sparking police probe in Airdrie - UK Daily: Tech, Science, Business & Lifestyle News Updates



Officers swarmed Deedes Street in Airdrie at around 9.40pm last night.

The animal was removed from the property and no medical attention was needed for the victim.

Now a 19-year-old woman has been reported under the Dangerous Dogs Act in connection.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a woman having been bitten by a dog at a property on Deedes Street in Airdrie around 9.40pm on Saturday, 17 February.

“Officers attended and the dog was removed. No required medical treatment.

“A 19-year-old woman has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with offences under the Dangerous Dogs Act.

“Further enquiries are ongoing.”
