Sussex issued with weather warning for winds up to 70mph - UK Daily: Tech, Science, Business & Lifestyle News Updates



A yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office for wind, in place from 8am to 9pm tomorrow.

Very windy weather, accompanied by heavy rain in places, is likely to cause travel disruption, including possible delays to road, rail, air and ferry services, rough seas and damage to trees.

The weather warning is in place for the entire county, as well as much of southern England and parts of Wales.

A spokesman for the Met office said: “Very windy conditions are likely to quickly develop over south west England and southern Wales on Tuesday morning and then spread eastwards across southern and some central parts of England.

“In coastal areas, winds are likely to gust towards 60mph at times, with a lower likelihood of 70mph gusts.

“This windy weather will be accompanies by heavy rain in places.

“Winds will start to ease from the west during the afternoon and evening.”
