Dolphin found on Hove beach on New Year's Eve - UK Daily: Tech, Science, Business & Lifestyle News Updates

The dolphin was spotted on the beach between Rockwater and Hove Lagoon on Sunday.

Sussex Dolphin Project confirmed it is investigating how the animal ended up on the beach.

A spokesman for the group said: “We are sending a volunteer down to the site but depending on how close it was to the strand line it may have been washed out again.

Another common dolphin recently washed up in the area. A walker said she was “in tears” when she discovered the animal on Rottingdean beach in September last year.

Movement coach Neda Nenadic, who spotted it on the pebbles, said it had an injured face.

“It was a really young one as well,” she said. “I had a little prayer for it.”
