Police have released CCTV stills of a man they want to speak to following the incident at around 3.30pm on October 28.
CCTV shows a man entering the shop near the Open Market in London Road, Brighton, carrying a baseball bat.

It then shows him acting in an aggressive manner before assaulting another man and causing damage and attempting to steal from the premises.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “We are hoping to speak to the man seen in the picture as we believe he may be able to assist with our enquiries.
“If you have any information about the assault or that may aid in identifying the man pictured, you can make a report online or by calling 101 quoting reference 923 of 28/10.”
