Police officers are trawling through CCTV footage from the event in a bid to identify anyone behind the thefts – and speak with the security team working that night.

It was the first gig for the dance music pioneers in the city since 2018. They are best known for their songs Firestarter, Breathe and Voodoo People.

Their show on November 20 was part of their Army of The Ants tour and supported by Soft Play, the British punk duo formerly known as Slaves.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “We are investigating the incident and officers from our Neighbourhood Policing Team have visited the venue to review any footage and to liaise with the venue’s security team.

“Witnesses or anyone with information about the thefts are asked to report it to Sussex Police online or call 101.”
