Police were called to an incident in New Road in Brighton on the afternoon of December 22. A man in his 40s was found with a serious injury to his hand and was taken to hospital for treatment. A 44-year-old man from Brighton has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He has been bailed pending further enquiries.
