The Trump administration on Friday launched a new website that will house a collection of “new, never-before-seen” files about UFOs, according to the Pentagon. (And yes, we’re apparently okay with calling them UFOs again, as the URL to the new website is war.gov/ufo.) In a public announcement by the Defense Department — which, under Trump, rebranded as the Department of War — the initial set of files housed on the site will include those containing unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) videos, photos, and original source documents from across the entire U.S. government. The materials have been reviewed for security purposes, but…

Sweden-based caller ID company Truecaller said it will cut 70 jobs, or roughly 15% of its workforce, in the second quarter, as the company posted its Q1 2026 results with a decline in revenue and profits. Truecaller blamed real-money gaming in India, changes in advertising partner algorithms, and conflict in the Middle East for the slide. As TechCrunch reported last month, the company is already facing challenges from India’s telecom-led solutions, such as Calling Name Presentation (CNAP) identification service, and 5% year-on-year decline in downloads last year. In its Q1 2026 results, Truecaller’s net sales dropped 27% to 362 million SEK…
For interior designers, art sourcing has always been one of the most subjective and time-consuming parts of a project. A designer may know the mood, palette, scale, budget and emotional tone a client wants, but still spend hours moving between gallery contacts, artist websites, trade fairs, social platforms, image references and fragmented online catalogues. Most online art platforms still approach discovery as a catalogue exercise: filter by artist, medium, price, size or genre, then scroll. That works when a buyer already knows what they’re looking for. It’s far less effective when the starting point is an empty room, a client…
Estimated losses from global crypto wrench attacks reached $101 million in the first four months of 2026, with most attacks occurring in Europe, according to Web3 security company CertiK.With just 34 documented crypto wrench attacks, the losses have nearly doubled those of 2025, which came in at $52.2 million. Europe accounted for 82% of incidents, according to CertiK. “Our 2025 report documented a gradual tilt from Asia and North America toward Europe, and these first four months of 2026 mark a European hyper-concentration.”The frequency of wrench attacks has increased since 2025. They involve physical force to gain access to a…
Yesterday evening, May 7, at around 5.22pm, police were called to the cliffs at Saltdean. It came after reports that two men had climbed over the barrier and were near the cliff edge. Police attended and spoke with the men, who were film makers, as they headed into Saltdean. Earlier this year, East Sussex County Council warned the public to “stay clear” of the cliff edge, due to the risk of areas of the chalk cliffs falling away. Southeast Asia has been home for more than twelve years and during that time we have experienced many of the finest luxury hotels and resorts in the region. We do not have our favourites, but there are individual properties and brands that for varying reasons ensure that we return. Anantara Hotels & Resorts is most certainly one of those brands. Whilst being firmly rooted in Thai hospitality they consistently manage to deliver authentic hospitality across Southeast Asia and beyond. They are committed to multiple sustainable practices, whether that is supporting the people and communities they work with, reducing single use…
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) affects hundreds of millions of people worldwide and is one of the leading causes of kidney failure. As the disease progresses, many patients eventually need dialysis to survive. While current treatments can help slow damage, there are still no approved medications that directly restore kidney function. Researchers at Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine uncovered an unexpected possibility involving a drug that has long been used to treat constipation. In a clinical trial, the medication lubiprostone appeared to slow the decline of kidney function in patients with moderate CKD, raising hopes for an entirely new approach…
