Hayling Inshore Lifeboat was tasked alongside Selsey Inshore Lifeboat to the person cut off on the sand bar at West Wittering Beach this morning (March 7). Hayling Lifeboat arrived on scene and transferred the casualty and the dogs to the lifeboat and brought them ashore. The casualty was handed over to Selsey Coastguard. The rescue team said the person was ok, although a little cold after trying to get back to the shore by themselves.
