Police spotted a “suspicious car” at around 2.30pm on Tuesday, October 22 in Joyce Green Lane. They spoke to the two occupants of the car who were then detained for a search. Hayes Station Approach, from its junction with Bourne Way to the entrance of the car park on Station Approach, will be closed to through traffic on Saturday, November 23. The closure will be in place from 2pm to 6.30pm. The closure is to facilitate the Hayes Christmas Lights Switch-On Event. On September 25, Lisa Kivlehan, of Tennyson Road, entered a shop on London Road and stole four bottles of alcohol by putting them inside her bag. The 38-year-old was challenged by a member of staff who tried to stop her from leaving. However, Kivlehan bit the victim’s arm and then left the premises. On October 15, she was arrested and charged with theft and assault. She pleaded guilty during her first hearing at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court the following day.
