JD Sports in the Orchards Shopping Centre reportedly shut for good on Saturday (October 31), with signs spotted in the windows.
The store has since been listed as “permanently closed” on Google.
Dartford residents took to social media to share their reaction to the closure, with one person fearing that there are not going to be “any decent shops left soon” in the town centre.

Another resident said: “Saw that [the closed store] today… terrible shame.”
One shopper added: “I saw them taking all the racking off Saturday, assumed it was for a change around in the shop. Very sad.”
The reason behind the apparent closure has not been confirmed.
JD Sports declined to comment, and the Orchards Shopping Centre said it can not confirm nor deny the closure.
The nearest JD Sports branches are in Bluewater shopping centre and Broadway Shopping Centre in Bexleyheath.
