The incident outside Hollywood Bowl took place at around 10.30pm on Friday, October 30, 2026, and involved a black Range Rover.
Two men, aged 22 and 30, were injured in the collision, while the driver left the scene.
Bradley Bell, 29, of Forge Road, Three Bridges, has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving and is due to appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on November 4.
A 45-year-old man was initially arrested and later bailed pending further enquiries.
Detective Inspector Jenny Pietersen said: “This has been a complex and fast-moving investigation, I want to thank those who have contacted us with information.
“I would like to emphasise that this matter is believed to be an isolated incident, we are not seeking any other suspects.
“We continue to ask for any witnesses or anyone with relevant information, such as footage of what happened or the Range Rover in the area at the time, to come forward if they have not already done so.
“Information can be reported to Sussex Police online, quoting Operation Stargate.”
