Four properties in Brighton and Shoreham were targeted on October 24, 25, and 29.
All four were occupied by families of South Asian heritage, with gold believed to have been the primary target.
Detective Inspector Duncan Lloyd said: “While we do not want to cause unnecessary alarm, by raising awareness of these incidents, extra steps can be taken to enhance security at home.”
He advised residents to securely store valuables, leave a light on in the evenings and check doors and windows are properly locked.
