St Vincent Studios, delivered by construction firm GRAHAM, provides 321 self-contained studio apartments on St Vincent Street and is set to welcome residents for the start of the 2026/27 academic year.
The £38 million development was carried out on behalf of Artisan Real Estate and Housing Growth Partnership, with the building operated by Homes for Students under its Prestige Student Living brand.

William Ross, construction director at GRAHAM, said: “Handing over St Vincent Studios marks the completion of a complex city centre build, delivered ahead of programme and within budget while working alongside occupied and listed neighbours.
“The scheme reflects the depth of GRAHAM’s work across Glasgow’s student and residential sectors, where we’re delivering a growing pipeline that ranges from PBSA to build-to-rent.”
The new development replaces a 1970s office building that had been vacant since 2019.
The green terracotta-clad building is situated within walking distance of major higher education institutions, including the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow Caledonian University, the Glasgow School of Art, and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
It features a range of amenities, including study areas, a gym, cinema room, games room, private dining space, and a sky lounge.
Residents will also have access to five roof terraces and secure internal storage for 160 bicycles.

“Interest in the studio apartments has been high, with bookings from both the UK and abroad, and having a completed building to showcase ahead of the start of the academic year will allow us to build on that early interest.”
As of January 2026, Glasgow City Council recorded 21,187 purpose-built student bedspaces, compared to an estimated 90,000 higher education students.
GRAHAM is also working on further student accommodation schemes in the city.
At Central Quay, the contractor is building a 934-bedroom development for Unite Students, scheduled to open in the 2027/28 academic year.
The scheme will feature a café, gym, study spaces, and a garden terrace and is targeting a BREEAM Excellent sustainability rating.
The company’s other recent projects in Glasgow include the £81.5 million Candleriggs Square build-to-rent development and Cullen House on Bath Street, which was handed over in 2025.
