St Lawrence & Highland Court sit top of the Kent League Premier Division table, having been two-wicket winners at Blackheath in a top-three match on Saturday.

Niaz Khan’s 80 from 53 balls helped Blackheath to 243 all out as Thomas Copestake (3-33), teenager Thomas Elworthy (3-52) and John Grewar (3-56) claimed scalps for the away team.

Opener Dan Stickels then set the platform for the run-chase with 56 before Grewar (29 not out) and Elworthy (12 not out) shared a vital unbeaten 28-run stand to leave the work of Jahid Ahmed (3-30) in vain.

Whitstable made it three straight victories thanks to a home 84-run triumph over Bexley.

Opener Byron “Buzz” Gould’s 148 off 94 deliveries, supported by Freddie Fulton (66) and Justin MacVicar (54), steered them to 362-9. Zeph Netherway (2-54), Kent bowler Jas Singh (2-56), Fraser McWhinnie (2-64) and Louie James (2-65) among the wickets.

In reply, Cameron Wilshaw’s figures of 4-46 meant Leo Selvey-Clinton (86) and Shaun Evans (52) could not do enough for Bexley.

Second-placed Hayes are just two points off the summit after a 55-run home triumph against Minster.

Opener Finnan Bryan’s 119, supported by William MacVicar (50), helped Hayes to 328-6, with James Speer (2-42) shining.

Alfie Peck’s fine figures of 5-56 left a 200-run opening partnership between James Thompson (100) and Ed Moore (95) in vain.

Tunbridge Wells were seven-wicket winners at basement boys Lordswood.

Opener Chris Williams’ unbeaten 118 from 73 balls then consigned Lordswood to another loss as Hugh Scott (2-39) claimed scalps.

Sevenoaks Vine are just seven points better off than Lordswood after Kent batsmen Tawanda Muyeye and Ben Compton played key roles in a 35-run home defeat to Bromley.
