The Orchard Theatre in Dartford will officially reopen on December 12, 2026 with its Christmas pantomime Cinderella, running until January 3, 2027.

A spokesman for The Orchard Theatre said: “We are proud to introducing a world-class season that rewards the patience of local patrons. The spectacular variety of the 2027 programme guarantees that the newly refurbished auditorium will once again serve as a thriving hub for culture, community, and top-tier theatrical talent.”
The reopening programme features West End favourites, touring productions, and original performances. Highlights include Alan Carr (already sold out), Ed Gamble’s Fresh Hell (April 18), Phil Wang’s Uh-Oh (May 16), and Francis Rossi in an evening of music and stories (April 25).
Drama lovers can look forward to Midsomer Murders: The Killings at Badger’s Drift (May 12–15) and The Signalman, a stage adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic ghost story (January 11–13).
Family audiences will be entertained by DAODS’ Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (April 7–10), presented by the Dartford Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society.
Returning to Dartford audiences this season are fan favourites, fresh productions, and new works. Comedian Alan Carr has already sold out his multi-date run before the season has officially begun.
Further highlights include Johannes Radebe’s new dance production (May 21), bringing the Strictly Come Dancing star’s personal story to life on stage.
Major theatre productions confirmed for the 2027 season include:

- Singin’ in the Rain (March 16–20)
- The Full Monty (May 24–29)
- Jersey Boys (August 10–14)
- Dirty Dancing (April 27–May 1)
