Fire crews have been called to the incident and the cabbie is still at the scene.

Meanwhile, the owner of the property told KentOnline she has “had better days” and that this “wasn’t what I was expecting on a Monday”.

The vehicle, which is also badly damaged, appears to have crossed the front garden and crashed into the front of the house.

It is understood SGN is arranging for the gas supply to be isolated and the damaged porch will be demolished as it has been deemed unsafe.

A recovery vehicle has arrived at the scene.
