The 22-year-old community campaigner and chair of Friends of Dyke Road Park, topped the poll with 2,037 votes. Labour candidate Philip Berman came second.
In her victory speech, Councillor Barton Ahmad said: “Throughout this campaign I have listened to residents from every corner of Goldsmid.
“People spoke about the pressures they are facing from the rising cost of living and poor housing conditions to concerns about local services and the state of our streets.
“Others spoke about uncertainty, instability and a growing sense that too many people are being left behind.
“These conversations have stayed with me and will shape my work as a councillor.”
Labour candidate Philip Berman was runner up, with 1,357 votes, and Reform UK candidate Luke Willmoth finished third, with 304.
Lib Dem candidate Kim Leyland-Walker took fourth place, with 214 votes.
Conservative candidate Louis Bird was fifth, with 210 votes.
Trade Union and Socialist Coalition (TUSC) candidate Glenn Kelly secured 31 votes.
The Greens now have 11 councillors, after winning three by-elections since 2023. Former Labour councillor Bruno De Oliveira has also switched his allegiance.
Labour still has a majority, holding 33 of the 54 seats on the council.
The seat became vacant following the resignation of former mayor Jackie O’Quinn, who stood for Labour when she was elected but resigned from the party and sat as an independent during her final months in office.
