The 45-year-old then asked the crowd to get down low during Empire, with the eager audience more than happy to obey before bouncing back up to the beat.
You’re in Love with a Psycho then added to the party atmosphere.
The main stage field felt emptier for a headliner than previous years, but Kasabian have shifted their musical style.

The lad-rock anthems that once drew the crowds proved to get the biggest reaction, while the newer electronic pop tracks post-Tom Meighan’s departure didn’t seem to have the same effect.
The Calvin Harris collaboration Release the Pressure gets lost in a set like this for Kasabian fans who followed the band from day one.
A trumpet player performing the melody of LSF (Lost Souls Forever), however, was perfection before Pizzorno launched into the vocals.
Bless This Acid House and Fire rounded off the set.
