A large police presence was noticeable on Chapel Road in Worthing last night, on June 15.
Police received multiple reports of “incidents involving young people,” including a report that a group of teenagers had caused damage to a Best One convenience shop on Chapel Road.
Police said the shop’s windows were smashed.
Police later found a group of 12 teenagers shouting at staff at Capital Clouds, also on Chapel Road.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop, common assault, and criminal damage to property.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop and criminal damage to property.
Both have been bailed while investigations continue.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “Police received multiple reports of incidents involving a group of young people in Worthing on Monday, June 15.
“At around 8.20pm, it was reported that a group of around nine teenagers were causing damage to Best One convenience shop in Chapel Road, Worthing.
“The shop window was smashed.
“Officers attended the store, however, the group had left the scene.
“A few minutes later at around 8.35pm, police received a second report that a group of young people were causing damage to the Connaught Theatre in Union Place.
“It was reported that a man was assaulted.
“Officers then located a group of around 12 teenagers outside Capital Clouds in Chapel Road shouting at staff members and a man was assaulted.
“A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop, common assault, and criminal damage to property.
“And a 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop and criminal damage to property.
“Both boys have been bailed while investigations are ongoing.
“Officers are conducting numerous lines of enquiry in ongoing investigations of the three incidents and encourage anyone who witnessed the incidents or who has any relevant information such as CCTV or mobile footage to come forward.
