The Sheppey side scored 250-6, largely thanks to opener James Thompson’s 108. Sam Huggett (3-46) the best home bowler.
In reply, opener Alex Williams (44) saw his efforts in vain as James Speer’s figures of 3-35 left Tunbridge Wells 214-9 at the end of their allocation.
Second-placed Bromley moved within two points of them thanks to a six-wicket win at Lordswood.
Captain Ed Taylor and wicketkeeper Max Wood scored 46 and 46 not out, respectively, in Lordswood’s 204-7, with Ryan Cartwright (2-15), Marcus Lilley (2-37) and Archie Ramanathan (2-40) claiming scalps.
Cartwright (91 not out), supported by Ollie Streets (52 not out), did the rest despite Joe Gordon (2-22) doing his best.
Another three points further back, third-placed Hayes were eight-wicket home winners over second-bottom Sevenoaks Vine.
Henry Procter’s 61 helped Vine score 179 all out as Alfie Peck claimed 5-39 from 10 overs.
Former Kent man Alex Blake’s unbeaten 66 from 60 balls saw Hayes home in the 35th over.
Legendary ex-Kent all-rounder Darren Stevens helped St Lawrence & Highland Court see off basement boys Whitstable.
Stevens’ 111 off 86 deliveries, supported by Josh Julian (59), helped St Lawrence score 298 all out. Will Cook (3-27) and Australian overseas player Cullan Larkin (3-83) best with the ball.
Jaydn Denly’s 50 from 40 deliveries proved in vain as fellow Kent all-rounder Olly Curtiss (3-49) left Whitstable skittled for 161 in the 36th over.
Bexley inched to a seven-run triumph at Blackheath.
They totalled 230-9, largely thanks to George Haley’s 60. Tejpal Birdi (4-37) shone for Blackheath.
Sam Hewitt and Haley took 3-36 and 3-38, respectively, meaning Matthew Golding (91) could not do enough.
