The force were called to a two-vehicle crash on the B8039 in Cumbernauld, between Lenziemill Roundabout and Blairlinn Roundabout.
This was around 4.15pm yesterday, and the road was closed to allow for recovery. It was reopened around 8.30pm.
Emergency services attended and the two male drivers of the vehicles were taken to hospital. Their condition is unknown.
An investigation has now been launched.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.15pm on Friday, June 12, 2026, we were called to a two-vehicle crash on the B8039 in Cumbernauld, between Lenziemill Roundabout and Blairlinn Roundabout.
“Emergency services attended and the two male drivers of the vehicles were taken to hospital.
“The road was closed to allow for recovery and reopened around 8.30pm.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
