The prosecution follows and incident on High Street on October 20 last year, when an individual was seen consuming alcohol.
High Street is under the protection of a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) which prohibits public drinking in a bid by Bromley Council to tackle alcohol-related anti-social behaviour.
A neighbourhood enforcement officer approached the man and requested he stop drinking and dispose of the alcohol, with his refusal to comply caught on body-worn camera footage.
He was issued with a £100 Fixed Penalty Notice which was not paid, despite reminder letters being issued.
On May 28, David Green, of College Road, Bromley, was convicted under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 and was ordered to pay a fine and costs totalling £240.
Cllr Angela Page, Executive Councillor for Public Protection and Enforcement said: “We want residents and visitors to be able to enjoy our borough safely and respectfully, without the potential fear of being harassed by those intoxicated by alcohol.
“Public Space Protection Orders are in place to prevent the anti-social behaviour that often arises from drinking in the street, with prosecutions extremely rare and a last resort.
“Where individuals refuse to comply with directions when asked and where the evidence exists, the Council will not hesitate to take further action.”
