On March 21, Paul Slasor and Ricky Pygott, both from Colchester, were arrested during disturbances between Colchester United supporters and Bromley FC stewards.
Colchester United’s football officer, PC Niki Howard, worked alongside Metropolitan Police officers to deal with the incident.
Both men later appeared before Bromley magistrates on May 26, where they admitted a section 5 public order offence of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour.
Slasor also admitted possession of cocaine.
As part of the banning orders, the pair are now prohibited from attending Colchester United and England matches, both home and abroad.
The restrictions also cover major international tournaments, including the 2026 World Cup and UEFA Euro 2028, and require them to surrender their passports during tournament periods.
They were also ordered to pay costs and a surcharge, and the drugs were ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.
PC Howard said: “Football supporters should be coming together at matches to celebrate and enjoy the beautiful game and cheer on their team.
“There is no place for violence or drugs.
“We know drug use can drive disorder at football matches, and we are committed to tackling that behaviour and keeping it out of our grounds.
“Whether it’s home or away, we want matches to be safe and enjoyable without the risk of violence and we work with colleagues from away teams’ police forces to make this happen.”
