Mr Hughes said: “It has always been my dream to perform a tribute evening at the Bandstand.
“On Saturday, I will get to be up there on the big stage, which is something I’m really looking forward to.
“I’m really hoping that it will lead to my band and I perhaps performing there at an Elton Tribute evening in the future.
“The Bandstand is such an iconic venue and a massive part of the history of Eastbourne, also it was a very big part of my life growing up locally and visiting the surrounding beaches and seeing so many fantastic performances there.
“Hopefully the sun will be shining on us all – we can’t wait to see you all.”
Jenny Williams, councillor responsible for tourism and place at Eastbourne Borough Council, said: “Beach Life Music Festival is part of our summer programme to promote and showcase the best of Eastbourne’s local talent.
“We are so pleased that Sam will be performing at the Bandstand for the first time and achieving his dream.”
