Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision yesterday in Yapton, in West Sussex.
Shortly before 3.45 pm on Saturday, May 30, an electric motorcycle was involved in a collision with a Ford Transit van and a Nissan Micra on Burndell Road in Yapton, police said.
The Ford Transit had been travelling northbound on Burndell Road, and the Nissan Micra was heading southbound.
The motorcycle was also travelling southbound, having turned onto Burndell Road from Barley Lane shortly before the collision, a spokesperson for Sussex Police said.
Emergency services, including the South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance, attended the scene.
The rider of the electric motorcycle, a 17-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the collision.
The driver of the Ford Transit van, a 29-year-old man, was taken to hospital with minor injuries following the collision.
The driver of the Nissan Micra, a 50-year-old man, was uninjured.
Burndell Road was closed late into the evening as emergency services dealt with the crash and investigated the scene.
The road has since reopened.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has CCTV or dashcam footage showing the collision or of any of the vehicles involved in the minutes before it, to come forward, quoting Op Greensand.
