SoupsU, based on Wellington Street just off Sauchiehall Street, is being marketed on business marketplace BusinessesForSale.com with an asking price in the region of £100,000 to £200,000.

The daytime venue, which operates as a café and takeaway, offers around 30 to 35 internal covers alongside a busy trade serving nearby office workers, shoppers, and passers-by.

Marketing details describe SoupsU as a “respected” brand with a loyal repeat customer base and highlight its “prime high-footfall location” close to shops, transport links, and leisure venues.

The listing notes the business currently trades on restricted hours – six days a week and closed on Sundays – and suggests there is “clear scope” for a new owner to boost turnover by extending opening hours into breakfast, evening, and weekend service.

There is also said to be potential to grow delivery, click-and-collect and outside or corporate catering, as well as to expand the menu with more healthy, vegan and grab-and-go options.

The advert adds that recent public realm improvements on Sauchiehall Street are expected to increase footfall in the area, meaning the next owner could benefit from “more passing trade, longer dwell times and a stronger mix of shops, cafés and bars.”
