A search took place in the water after police were called to Galley Hill Road in Swanscombe after reports of concern for a swimmer at 2.55pm yesterday (May 27).
The pond connects Ebbsfleet to Swanscombe.
Pictures from the scene by UKNIP show boats being deployed to find the body.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Officers attended along with the Kent Fire and Rescue Service and the South East Coast Ambulance Service, where the body of a teenage boy was recovered.
“His death is not being treated as suspicious at this time and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “If you see someone struggling in water in Kent or Medway, call 999 and ask for the fire service if it’s inland water, or the Coastguard if it’s the sea or a tidal area.”
