The incident happened in Haywards Heath town centre on May 15 at around 4.20pm after a black Audi A3 drove away from officers in the Sainsbury’s car park.
The car drove away into Burrell Road and continued onto College Road, Summerhill Lane, and Queens Road before colliding with a lorry in Mill Green Road at the junction with the Commercial Square roundabout.

During the pursuit, the Audi was seen mounting a kerb, running a red light, and reaching speeds of more than 50mph in a 30mph zone, police said.
Officers have appealed to the public for information and footage from the area.
A 21-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, failing to stop, driving without valid insurance, and possessing A, B and C drugs with intent to supply.

He has been bailed, pending further enquiries.
Two occupants fled the vehicle.
One was described as white and wearing a white T-shirt and shorts.
The other, who was seen running towards Sydney Road, was described as having dark hair, an athletic build, and dressed in all black.
Sussex Police have asked anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant CCTV, dashcam, doorbell, or mobile phone footage to come forward.
