Kent Police received reports of concerns for a person shortly after 8pm yesterday (May 25) near Watling Street.

As part of the incident, road closures were put in place on the A282 and near the Dartford Crossing while emergency services dealt with the situation.

The closures have since been fully reopened.

The man was passed into the care of healthcare professionals.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Kent Police was called at 8.04pm on Monday 25 May 2026 to a report of a concern for the welfare of a person near Watling Street, Dartford.

“As part of this incident road closures were in place on the A282 and near the Dartford Crossing, but have since been fully reopened.

“A man was passed into the care of healthcare professionals.”
