At 10am today (May 3), Thames Water reported a burst water main on Thicket Road.
SE19 and SE20 have been affected by the incident.
The burst has disrupted water supplies to homes in the area.
Thames Water has apologised to customers and confirmed that teams are working to restore service.
A spokesman for Thames Water said: “We’re sorry if your tap water isn’t working properly at the moment.
“We’re aware of a burst water main on Thicket Road affecting residents in the SE19 and SE20 area.
“Our specialist team is on site and has managed to stop the flow of water.
“We will now be working to restore your supply to normal.
“We know how disruptive it is if you lose your water supply, so we’ll work hard to get things back to normal as soon as we can.”
Thames Water has offered advice to residents who may need extra assistance.
The site said: “If you or someone you know needs a little extra support, our free Priority Services Register can help us to understand your situation so we can take it into account as best we can.”
