The body of Mr Brennan was discovered within a property in the Overtoun Court area of Clydebank on Thursday, October 17, 2024.
Cops said at the time that his death was being treated as “unexplained”.

Now, officers have revealed that a 28-year-old man has allegedly been charged in connection with the death.
It comes after he was arrested today.
He is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court tomorrow. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of Alistair Brennan in Clydebank.
“The body of 58-year-old Mr Brennan was discovered within a property in the Overtoun Court area on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Officers arrested the man on Monday, May 18, 2026.
“He is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”

At the time of Mr Brennan’s death, we reported how multiple police officers were seen around the Dalmuir area during the initial investigation.
In addition, forensic officers were spotted at a property on York Street in Drumry, as part of the “extensive enquiries.”
An eyewitness told the Glasgow Times in 2024, that around eight cops were wearing what appeared to be forensic suits.
