Palmeira Square in Hove is closed to traffic for the filming of The Siege, an upcoming six-part Channel 4 drama about the 1980 Iranian Embassy siege in London.
The production is using the square’s historic, terraced 19th century architecture as a stand-in for the Iranian Embassy in Kensington.
Filming began on Sunday (May 17) and will continue until this Friday (May 22).

Adapted by Slow Horses writer Will Smith from Ben Macintyre’s bestselling book, the series details the tense six-day standoff and the dramatic SAS raid which ended it.
Danny Dyer, who plays Trevor Lock – the heroic police officer who was guarding the embassy when it was stormed – has been spotted on set.
Dressed in police uniform, the Rivals star could be seen standing guard outside one of the terraced properties.
Resident Ant McEwan said: “I heard him speak – he has a pretty distinctive voice – and when he saw me taking pictures, he smiled like he was acknowledging I was there, then started pulling silly poses.”

PC lock helped to relay messages from the gunmen to police negotiators via an open window and telephone.
During the raid, he tackled the leader of the gunmen – known as Salim – and saved the life of an SAS soldier.
He was awarded the George Medal, which recognises outstanding bravery, for his actions.
