Conveniently situated halfway between Brighton and Hove, The Lion and Lobster is throwing “the ultimate” Eurovision viewing party.
It said: “Join us on Saturday 16th May to watch the Eurovision Grand Final live on our big screens. Expect a night of outrageous costumes, big ballads, and the best (and worst) of European pop – all with your favourite pint in hand.”
The event will start at 8pm and go on till late. Although entry is free, the pub recommends booking ahead for large groups.
In Preston Road, The Crown and Anchor will be welcoming Eurovision viewers from 7pm, with trivia and “silly prizes” up for grabs.
The event will be hosted by Quizzy with Izzy, the quiz host and entertainer behind North Laine’s Brewhouse regular Wednesday quiz night.

However, the venue says it “will be muting a certain section of the show.”
Several venues in Brighton which formerly hosted annual Eurovision parties have cancelled them in recent years over Israel’s ongoing participation in the event.
Countries such as Iceland, Ireland, Spain, Slovenia, and the Netherlands have also withdrawn from the Eurovision Song Contest this year in protest.
For those who do wish to boycott, Klub Kaput at Caravanserai is hosting an alternative night out as part of the Brighton Fringe.
The event, named Up Your Vision!, will feature a mix of live music and comedy, with a fancy dress glam station, prizes, and an afterparty.
Organisers describe Up Your Vision! as their “joyful, defiant alternative” to the main event.
It will be hosted by comedian Jen Brister and feature live music from Palestinian pop star Bashar Murad and others.
Tickets cost £20, with a concession rate of £10. Doors open at 5.30pm, and the show will start at 6pm.
