South-east London, which includes Bromley, Bexley, Greenwich, Lewisham and Southwark, saw a tiny rise in reported crime at the end of April when compared to March.
A total of 11,362 offences were logged in April, up just 0.1 per cent compared to the 11,354 logged in March.
Southwark recorded the highest number of offences, with 3,351 crimes reported during the month.
Theft was the most common offence in the borough with 1,421 incidents, followed by violence against the person with 721 reports.
There were also 224 vehicle offences, 175 burglaries, 173 robberies, 165 arson and criminal damage offences, 162 public order offences, and 162 drug offences.
Together, theft and violence against the person accounted for more than half of all offences recorded in the borough.
Lewisham had the second-highest crime total, with 2,512 offences in April.
Violence against the person and theft were again the most frequently recorded crimes, with 803 and 635 reports, respectively.
This was followed by 233 vehicle offences and 190 public order offences.
Overall, the figures show a similar pattern to Southwark, with violent and theft crimes making up the majority of offences recorded.
Greenwich ranked third, with 2,260 offences reported during the month, down 0.2 per cent compared to March.
The borough recorded 1,522 incidents of violence against the person and 1,088 theft offences, alongside 404 vehicle crimes.
There were also 320 public order offences, 314 arson and criminal damage offences, as well as 265 drug offences.
Bromley was next in the rankings, with 1,997 offences reported in April.
Despite being London’s largest borough by area, it recorded considerably fewer offences than its inner London neighbours.
This included 1,156 cases of violence against the person, 964 thefts and 582 vehicle offences.
Police also recorded 327 arson and criminal damage offences, 307 public order offences, and 181 drug offences.
Bexley recorded the lowest number of reported offences in south-east London, with 1,242 crimes.
Police dealt with 937 reports of violence against the person, 495 thefts, 257 vehicle offences, and 229 arson and criminal damage offences.
Overall, crime levels in Bexley remained significantly lower than the sub-regional average.
