“This law breaking has been allowed to escalate to the point it is out of control”
This is the moment Stephen Nolan is “surrounded” by “masked bike riders” in South Belfast.
Shortly after 3pm today, the BBC broadcaster posted a video on his social media showing an incident that took place while he was on the Ravenhill Road. In the video three males with their faces covered ride what appear to be e-bikes up to his car and shout “what’s happening” and cheer.
Shortly after this, however, one of the riders is heard shouting an insult at Stephen before making a rude gesture towards him.
The broadcaster said in his social media post that the bike riders were “racing along roads and footpaths” and that “law breaking has been allowed to escalate to the point it is out of control”.

“This is broad daylight, Ravenhill Road with these idiots racing along roads and footpaths.”
