Opener Chris Williams’ 115 from 77 balls, including 15 fours and four maximums, inspired their 330-8 off 50 overs while Harry Bevan-Thomas (3-60) bowled nicely.
In reply, former England opener Nick Compton’s 147 from 123 deliveries proved in vain as New Zealand overseas player Danru Ferns (3-46) got to work.
