Police, paramedics and fire crews were called to St Mary’s Road near Orchards Academy at 10.37pm yesterday (May 7).
At the scene, a teenage boy was treated before being taken to a London hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
A second teenage boy and a man in his 30s were also taken to a local hospital.
Both have since been discharged.
A 39-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody.
In an email seen by the News Shopper and shared on Facebook, Orchards Academy informed parents that the school would be closed today (May 8) due to a “police incident”.
A spokesperson for the academy said: “Students due to be sitting a GCSE exam today will be contacted separately.”
A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Kent Police was called at 10.37pm on Thursday 7 April 2026 to reports of collision involving a car and motorbike in St Mary’s Road, Swanley.
“Officers attended, along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service, and a teenage boy was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
“A second teenage boy and a man in his 30s were taken to a local hospital and both were later discharged.
“Two people, a 39-year-old man and a boy aged 16, were arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody.
