There are long delays on the M25 after a lorry collided with roadside fencing.

Traffic is being temporarily held clockwise between J5, Sevenoaks, and J6, Godstone, in Surrey.

Kent Police confirmed officers were called at 7.13am on Saturday, May 9, following a single vehicle collision between junction 5 and 6 of the M25.

A spokesperson said: “Officers attended the scene where no injuries were reported.”

It is understood there are delays to the Clacket Lane services.

National Highways had initially said on X: “The M25 in Kent is blocked clockwise between J5 Sevenoaks and J6 Godstone following a traffic incident.”

In an update just after 10.15am it said:” Recovery services are in attendance. There are delays of 45 minutes with four miles congestion. It has caused further 30 minutes delays on the M26 west J2A to M25/A21.”
