Spuddies, based in Cardonald, saw queues which stretched to the end of the street and around the corner as they handed out free spuds on the bank holiday.
The entire menu was free from 11am and 3pm.

Two people even queued outside of the shop for around 15 hours to be the first people there, according to Spuddies.
The pair won £400 in cash and free spuds from Spuddies for six months.
People were quick to praise the shop for today’s event.
One person said: “Well done, Jordan and team.”
Another said: “You are certainly fantastic with the community. Well done.”
A third added: “Love this, heart of gold.”
While a fourth wrote: “This is amazing, well done guys.”
Spuddies teamed up with Jolly VIP lounge, who funded the free day. Money was also raised for Freedom Fighters who provide free counseling to people who need it.
Spuddies said: “It was a charity that really helped be over the years, and we wanted to give back.”
Spuddies is located 10 Lammermoor avenue
