The Garage announced the restrictions just hours before the West Belfast group’s two shows on Sunday, May 3 in Glasgow.
Kneecap are playing the gigs to celebrate the release of their second studio album, Fenian.

The performances are part of a series of launch events that have already taken place in Dundee and Newcastle.
Hundreds of fans are expected to fill The Garage for the shows, scheduled for 5pm and 8pm.
A statement from The Garage said: “Please note the following items will not be permitted inside the Kneecap shows on Sunday, May 3.
“Flags, balaclavas, football strips.
“Anyone who has any of these items on their person will have them confiscated and returned to them at the end of the concert.
“We appreciate your understanding on this matter.”
Kneecap, made up of members Liam Og O hAnnaidh, Naoise O Caireallain, and JJ O Dochartaigh, were previously due to play at last summer’s TRNSMT festival but were removed from the line-up following safety concerns raised by police.
The band also faced a police investigation last year after their Glastonbury performance.
The probe was dropped after the band pointed out that they did not call for a riot to take place.
O hAnnaidh, who performs under the stage name Mo Chara, was also charged a month later with a terror offence in relation to the alleged display of a Hezbollah flag during a 2024 show at the O2 Forum in London.
Hezbollah is classified as a terrorist organisation by the UK government.
The allegation was dropped in September.
