East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called at 3.32am this morning (May 2) to reports of a large HGV lorry colliding with The Coffee House on the A22 in Nutley, Uckfield.
Firefighters worked with police and paramedics at the scene in High Street for several hours and people were told to avoid the area.

UK Power Networks was also asked to attend because power cables had been damaged.
The fire service said everyone from the property is safe and no one was trapped in the vehicle.

One person was cared for by paramedics for minor injuries.
As of 7am, firefighters were shoring up the building and the lorry was removed. At 8.50am firefighters left the scene.
Sussex Police and UK Power Networks have been contacted for comment.
