Yesterday, April 30, a car caught fire at Norton Road car park in Hove.
In a statement shared on social media, Brighton and Hove City Council said the car park will be closed today, May 1, for a site visit to be carried out.
It said: “Norton Road car park in Hove will be closed on Friday 1 May following a fire on Thursday 30 April involving one car on the first floor.
“No one was hurt and no other cars were damaged.
“The closure is in place for a site visit. Owners of parked cars are able to collect their vehicles.”
A reopening time has not yet been confirmed but will be published on the council’s social media pages.
