The racecourse’s centenary season officially begins on Sunday, May 3, with a family raceday sponsored by Aspire Cleaning and Facilities.
The opening event will feature seven races and a full programme of children’s entertainment, including giant inflatables, bungee trampolines, face painting, laser tag, and the return of the Miami fairground ride.

The 2026 season carries extra significance as it marks a full century of racing at Hamilton Park’s Bothwell Road site, which first opened in 1926.
Over the past 100 years, the racecourse has grown into one of the UK’s leading independent tracks.
To mark the centenary, Hamilton Park has unveiled a new sculpture by renowned artist Michael Turner.
Located between the grandstand and onsite hotel, the piece captures the movement and power of a racehorse and includes tributes to Sir Ian Good, who joined the board in 1990 and became chairman in 1999.
Sir Ian was instrumental in the racecourse’s modern development.
The sculpture also features references to his horse, Penny A Day, serving as a lasting symbol of Hamilton Park’s past, present, and future.

On the track, celebrations continue with a record season of racing.
Total prize money will exceed £1.74 million, the highest in the venue’s history and more than £100,000 above the 2025 season.
Highlights include the Sky Bet Sunday Series on May 17, which offers £215,550 in prize money and will be broadcast live on ITV Racing.
Other key fixtures include the British Stallion Studs EBF Glasgow Listed Stakes on July 17, which sees a 45 per cent increase in prize money to £80,000.
The Lanark Silver Bell Heritage Handicap remains the season’s most valuable race at £103,000.
A new Class 3 handicap race, worth £25,000 and held in memory of Sir Ian Good, will take place on September 21.

Hamilton Park will host 18 fixtures throughout the season, including popular events such as the Jordan Electrics Glasgow Stakes Centenary Racenight, Cube Glass Ladies’ Night, and the historic Lanark Silver Bell Racenight.
A variety of racedays featuring live entertainment and special appearances will also be part of the centenary calendar.
Adult tickets are priced at £27 when booked in advance online, saving £5 off the standard ticket price.
Children under 18 enter free when accompanied by an adult.
Hamilton Park offers live racing and entertainment from May to September, with 18 fixtures including themed evenings and family days.
It is regarded as one of the UK’s leading independent tracks.
