Railway line between Canterbury East to Faversham blocked by tree - UK Daily: Tech, Science, Business & Lifestyle News Updates


A tree is blocking a railway line, prompting disruption to passengers.

Trains are currently unable to run from Canterbury East to Faversham because of the blockage.

At 5.20pm Southeastern warned passengers that some trains may be cancelled, delayed or subject to route changes.

The firm said the London-bound line is blocked and disruption is expected until 7.30pm.

A response team is now on site and they are working to put a rail replacement bus service in place.

Southeastern said customers can use their tickets at no extra cost on Stagecoach Buses between Canterbury and Faversham.

There are two buses operating between Dover Priory and Faversham and two additional buses operating between Canterbury East and Faversham.
