Fisherman rescued after falling into water at Brighton Marina - UK Daily: Tech, Science, Business & Lifestyle News Updates

Crews from Brighton’s RNLI were called out to rescue the man at Brighton Marina on Sunday, April 19.

The RNLI confirmed the fisherman was located and safely recovered from the water.

This was the crews second callout of the day, having assisted police in the search for a missing child earlier in the day.

In a social media post, it said: “A busy Sunday for our volunteer crew with two separate callouts along Brighton’s coastline.

“Our first tasking was to assist police with a shoreline search following concern for a missing person. Thankfully, the situation was resolved safely before our crew were required to launch.

“Later, the lifeboat launched immediately to the Marina after reports of a person in the water. A fisherman who had fallen in was quickly located, recovered and given casualty care by the crew before being safely handed over.

“Thank you to all agencies involved for their teamwork throughout both incidents.

“If you see anyone in trouble at the coast, call 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.”
