Kent have confirmed South African international fast bowler Glenton Stuurman’s overseas stay with the county has been ended by injury.
Right-armer Stuurman missed out on his home bow in their County Championship Division 2 draw against Northamptonshire at Canterbury due to what was initially described as a tight quad.

It had been hoped he would lead Adam Hollioake’s bowling attack at the start of this summer alongside fellow South African Keith Dudgeon, who is a team-mate of his for Goldrush Boland in his home country.
But Kent confirmed on Friday morning that the injury – “originally thought as a mild strain” – will sideline the 33-year-old, who made his international T20 debut in 2021 and his Test bow the next year, for at least six weeks.
Director of cricket Simon Cook said: “We’re disappointed that Glenton’s time has been cut short this season.
“He has been a good addition to the dressing room.
“With Matt Quinn very close to match fitness and Mikey Cohen fully available, we still have depth in our seam bowling attack for the near future.

“Grant Stewart will also be in contention to return next week.”
Stuurman claimed figures of 3-64 and 2-43 in his sole Kent appearance as they played out an opening-round away draw with Durham this month.
Ironically, Dudgeon, Stuurman’s close pal, made a single appearance in 2025 before his first overseas stint was cut short by a knee injury.
Kent will return to red-ball action away to Worcestershire from Friday after a bye week.
